2026 Herbal Apprenticeship
Interested in deepening your understanding of herbal medicine and learning how to grow your own medicinal plants? Our Herbal Apprenticeship Program is your opportunity to do so!
From June until late October, our apprentices will gain hands-on experience tending to our perennial herb garden located on Concordia’s Loyola campus in addition to learning how to produce a variety of herbal medicines. Apprentices will also attend a series of classes given by experienced herbalists on topics such as botany & plant identification, herbalism & physiology, Ayurveda, and more.
Applications for our 2026 Herbal Apprenticeship Program will open in late April. Stay tuned!
Volunteering
Are you curious to learn how to grow plants from seed? We're delighted to invite you to our weekly Seed Starting Volunteer Hours!
Join us every Thursday from 1-3pm on the Loyola Campus to get your hands dirty, learn the basics of starting seedlings, and help us grow a mix of herbs and native perennials. As a thank you for your hard work, you'll be able to take some seedlings home at the end of spring!
Please note that we are prioritizing Concordia undergraduate students for these sessions. Registration is required.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Concordia Student Union for funding this initiative!
